I spotted this colorful Vine Maple a short ways down a talus slope. I scrambled down and made a half dozen close up images of the reds, oranges and yellows that were absolutely bursting with color under the diffused afternoon sun.Olympus E-PM1, Olympus M.14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II R, F16, 32mm, 1/60th sec, ISO 640
I jumped into the photo here to give the scene a little more interest. This section of the Pacific Crest Trail was a real treat to run through. The forest on the Benson Plateau is primarily Silver and Noble Fir with a beautiful carpet of Beargrass underneath.Olympus E-PM1, Olympus M.14-42mm F3.5-5.6 II R, F3.6, 15mm, 1/60th sec, ISO 1000
